The village has a fever

They say it takes a village to raise a child.

But can you rely on a village,

Where its Muslimahs are all over social media; dancing, singing and batting their eyelids to show off their latest eye makeup technique?

Where its Muslim men are all over social-media; hurling insults, making Takfeer, sliding into the DMs of non-Mahrams and fixing their gaze on all the Fawaahish available online?

Can you really rely on a village,

Where its Muslim leaders are celebrating LGBT pride month and vowing to never rest in their efforts to amplify the LGBT cause?

Where the true Islamic Aqeedah and the adherence to it is being dismissed as “archaic” or “Wahhabi”? Even by “respected” Muslim clerics?

Is your village still reliable, ukhti? Akhi?

You better bring your child indoors, because the village has a fever.

Abdullah ibn Umar reported:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the guardian of his family and he is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband’s home and his children and she is responsible for them. The servant of a man is a guardian of the property of his master and he is responsible for it. No doubt, every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.

Sahih Al Bukhāri #7138

No doubt, some have found a good village for themselves and their children. If you are one of these blessed ones, I rejoice for you. May Allah bless you in it and I ask Him to grant the rest of us this same blessing…🤲🏾

  2. Hmmmmm…. This post is deserving of upper case letters in its entirety.

We cant pray enough for these children, everyday there is an additional prayer point. May Allah aid and strengthen us parents and keep us firm and focused on the right path to be able to guide them. Aameen.

    1. Aamin! It’s truly wild out there. We have to sit up and take our responsibility as parents as a full time job.
